The Shrine of Looms is an immersive installation concept designed to promote the utilization of waste and remnant textiles. The Shrine of Looms draws on the universally familiar imagery of shrines, prayer flags, and the near-worldwide custom of tying a ribbon or cloth to a tree to make a wish or prayer. Hundreds of long strips of painted cloth (sustainably sourced from a vendor dealing in remnant and waste textiles, hand painted by the artist) are suspended in the air. I was very fortunate to receive a grant from QCA to create a mural at 2117 Mott Ave in Far Rockaway this spring.  Read my interview with QCA here:  This project was made possible through the Downtown Far Rockaway Artist Commissioning Program.The DFR Artist Commissioning Program is a collaboration among the Rockaway Development Revitalization Corporation, Small Business Services, and Queens Council on the Arts.

Brooklyn Arts Council Access Art 2021 @ City Point Mall

This year two of my paintings appeared at the Access Art pop up show at City Point Mall. The reception was on June 3rd 2021 and the show is up from June 3 until June 12.  My paintings Water Lilies (2019) and Vampire Protest (2019) are in the show. The reception was amazing and it was great to meet so many talented artists.
